This is an original Leprechaun hat and stunt mask from the 1993 horror film, Leprechaun. These recognizable items were used throughout the film as the evil little Leprechaun goes on a killing rampage in search of his beloved pot of gold. The custom-made hat, worn by Leprechaun (Warwick Davis) features a green and black velvet covered exterior, with black silk-like fabric sewn around the brim and a gold painted wood buckle attached with Velcro across the front. Best of all, remnants of the Leprechaun’s facial appliance, makeup and strands of hair are still present inside of the hat. The full stunt head was worn by the Leprechaun’s Stunt Man (Deep Roy) in high risk and intense action scenes throughout the film. The appliance is crafted out of latex with areas of foam and has been painted and detailed to appear just like the Leprechaun character, featuring a long ginger colored, curly mane, thick brow line, ribbed cheek skin and large pointy ears. These rare collector’s pieces measures approximately, hat 12″ x 11” x 5″ (31cm x 28cm x 13cm) and mask 11″ x 11″ x 10″ (28cm x 28cm x 25cm). Both items display wear from heavy production use and age including chipped paint and broken seams (see photos), but overall the set remains in fair condition.
