Qui-Gon Jinn's Stunt Hilt

  • Movie Title: Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace

Qui-Gon Jinn is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe, and a main protagonist of the 1999 film Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, portrayed by Liam Neeson. Qui-Gon is best known as the mentor of the Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi as well as the one who discovers Anakin Skywalker. Qui-Gon is introduced in Episode I as a wise and powerful Jedi Master and the teacher of the 25-year-old Obi-Wan Kenobi. Unlike other more conservative Jedi, he values living in the moment as the best way to embrace the Force. This stunt hilt was used by Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) in Episode 1: The Phantom Menace and was used during the stunt scenes when the actor would need a saber to interact with. There is also an internal metal threaded rod where the saber blade would be attached for the scenes, and later have CGI added to make it appear as it does in the film. The resin hilt measures 11" and the metal threaded rod measures 6 1/4". Along with a Hollywood History COA, this also comes with a letter of provenance and a COA from a prop/model maker who worked on Episode 1 and Episode 2.
