Earth is invaded by alien tripod fighting machines and one family fights for survival. This is a screen used baseball covered in the alien’s red tentacle purge used in the 2005 sci-fi thriller War of the Worlds starring Tom Cruise. Based after the H.G. Wells novel and directed by Steven Spielberg this prop still has the remnants of the alien “purge” that was released from the ships after “digesting” the humans which covered the earth. This prop baseball was originally obtained by an extra who worked on the film in one of the alien attack scenes.
