When bitten by a genetically modified spider, a nerdy, shy, and awkward high school student gains spider-like abilities that he eventually must use to fight evil as a superhero after tragedy befalls his family. This Green Goblin prosthetic was the original design which was tested for the 2002 Sam Raimi production of Spider-Man. It was eventually replaced with the metal helmet that was seen throughout the film but it was used in screen tests.
