Ichabod Crane is sent to Sleepy Hollow to investigate the decapitations of three people, with the culprit being the legendary apparition, The Headless Horseman. This is a prototype metal axe head to be used by the Headless Horseman in the Tim Burton gothic classic Sleepy Hollow. This fearsome looking double bladed weapon was one of a very few concepts which got as far as the construction stage before being rejected by the director. The axe can be seen in rare pre-production drawings.
