The Pursuit of Happiness is a 2006 American biographical drama film directed by Gabriele Muccino and based on the life of Chris Gardner. The film stars Will Smith as Gardner, an on-and-off-homeless salesman-turned stockbroker. When his life turns upside down and his wife has left him the only thing that seems to be left worth striving for is to give his son the life he always wanted.
