This is an original “Martian” stop-motion animation puppet from the 1996 Tim Burton film, Mars Attacks! This film was originally planned as a stop motion homage to the old Ray Harryhausen films; however they ultimately decided upon computer-generated animation and based their animation upon these stop-motion puppets. The puppets were then used to scan in assisting with the computer generated animation featured in the live action film. The puppet stands approx. 14″ tall and is built of a steel and aluminum armature, and was obtained directly from Warner Bros Archive.
