James and the Giant Peach is a 1996 stop motion film directed by Henry Selick. The story follows an orphan named James, who lives with his two cruel aunts, as he befriends anthropomorphic bugs that live inside a giant peach and they embark on a journey to New York City. This stand-in Centipede puppet; made of foam latex, with a cloth costume and wire armature; is among the many “bugs” on that journey.
