The Fly is a 1986 science fiction horror film co-written and directed by David Cronenberg along with make-up effects created by the talented Chris Walas, who won the Academy Award for Best Makeup. In the film, Brundle deteriorates becoming progressively less human in appearance. He theorizes that he is slowly becoming a hybrid creature that is neither human nor insect (which the doomed Seth begins referring to as “Brundlefly”). He has started to exhibit fly-like characteristics, such as the ability to cling to walls and ceilings. This is the “Brundle” Fly maquette used during production of the film by Chris Walas and his studio to plan the appearance of how the creature would look during these stages of mutation. This maquette will also include a plaque stand with a screen cap and mini poster, along with a custom plaque.
