This is a chicken puppet leg used in the production of the 2000 Aardman animation classic, Chicken Run. Fearing for their lives when their farming owners buy a pie-making machine, the hens of a failing chicken farm plan their escape, led by de facto leader Ginger (Julia Sawalha) and American rooster Rocky (Mel Gibson). Puppet legs such as this were used and interchanged on the puppets as needed for certain scenes of the film. With an internal armature the leg can be posed in different positions as the Animators needed.
