A special effects sword used in Wolfgang Petersen’s adaptation of Homer’s great epic Troy. After falling for the beautiful Helen (Diane Kruger), Trojan prince Paris (Orlando Bloom) smuggles her aboard the ship of his brother, Hector (Eric Bana) to take her to Troy. Seeking revenge, the Greek armies led by Agamemnon (Brian Cox) and the legendary warrior Achilles (Brad Pitt) set sail for Troy, where one of history’s greatest wars will be waged. The entire piece has been hand-painted and detailed to resemble ancient forged bronze. This sword is Achilles’ SFX version, which features a special effects cut off tip that would have been used during one of the many fight scenes including the one with Boagrius, to give the effect of an actor being stabbed. This item exhibits some wear due to production use and storage and comes in a custom display frame, however the plexiglass has a few scratches from transit.
