Set in the Star Wars universe the series takes place five years after the events of Return of the Jedi and follows a lone Mandalorian gunfighter beyond the reaches of the New Republic. From the series The Mandalorian, this is the Mandalorian’s (Pedro Pascal) helmet used during Season 2 Mandalorian armor referred to the traditional Beskar armor worn by the human warrior clans of the planet Mandalore.
