From the 2014 Laika stop motion film The Boxtrolls based on the children’s novel “Here Be Monsters”,  this is a simple screen-used prop of a pile of junk collected by the Boxtrolls from the trash during one of their nocturnal excursions. The level of detail featured here underscores the sheer beauty of this film being entirely handmade, hand-painted and measures 12″ x 10″. The young orphaned boy known as Eggs has been raised by underground cave-dwelling cheese loving Boxtrolls.
