Fornicus, Lord of Bondage and Pain’s (Greg Zach) puzzle orb from Drew Goddard and Joss Whedon’s The Cabin in the Woods. Dana Polk (Kristen Connolly) saw Fornicus, a parody of the Cenobites from Clive Barker’s Hellraiser franchise, with his puzzle orb when she and Marty Mikalski (Fran Kranz) descended in the elevators of the secret facility beneath the cabin. This adjustable spherical orb was constructed by production in reference to the Cenobites’ Lament Configuration. It is constructed from resin parts yellow by production, engraved with alchemical carvings. and detailed with silver paint to appear metallic. There are two smooth rotating segments in the center of the orb that can be moved independently of each other.
